  1. HEALTH & SAFETY IN EDUCATION:  Health & Safety will give all staff working in a school or college a comprehensive, basic knowledge of health and safety. The five concise learning modules cover common health and safety hazards, safety management systems and policies, and what to do in case of an accident. The programme also includes a proficiency test to reinforce your knowledge.

  2. CHILD PROTECTION IN SPORT AND ACTIVE LEISURE: endorsed by Kidscape, 4Children and Family Lives, is designed for those who work with children and young people in a sport or leisure setting. Its purpose is to raise your awareness of abuse and neglect, help you to recognise early signs there might be a problem, and show you how to take appropriate action.

  3. FIRE SAFETY IN EDUCATION:  written by expert authors at CircleFire and accredited by the Institute of Fire Safety Managers and ROSPA, provides the fundamental information needed to protect any education premises against fire, and how to ensure the safety of all staff and students. The four concise learning modules cover the importance of fire safety training including legislation, the nature of fire, fire hazards, what to do in the event of a fire, and how to use a fire extinguisher

  4. CHILD PROTECTION: The content is divided into three concise learning modules that cover recent changes and how they will affect your work, a refresher of what child abuse is and recognising and responding to signs of abuse, and the key findings of recent serious case reviews. Learning is tested with one questionnaire that covers all of the content from the programme.

  5. SAFEGUARDING VULNERABLE YOUNG PEOPLE: endorsed by established youth organisations, provides the key information needed to help raise your awareness of young people who may be vulnerable because of their age, relative inexperience, past abusive experiences or current circumstances. The programme is written for those who work with young people aged 16-25 in further education colleges, but the principles of the programme apply to anybody who comes into contact with young people in their work or voluntary activity. The four concise learning modules cover who may be vulnerable, the signs and indicators of abuse, what to do if a young person confides abuse to you, recording and reporting procedures, and organisational good practice.

  6. CHILD EXPLOITATION AND ONLINE SAFETY: Written by Jonathan Taylor, a leading expert in e-safety and protecting children online, the training aims to bring you up-to-date on how children and young people use technology and the associated risks. It also provides the essential information to help protect children and young people from sexual exploitation.

  7. CHILD NEGLECT: The purpose of the programme is to raise your awareness of neglect and help you to understand the factors that may contribute to it. We will consider the signs and indicators of neglect to help you recognise it and look at what action you should take to report it. Finally, there is advice on how you can support a child or young person who is experiencing neglect.
