  1. FIRST AID ESSENTIALS: First Aid Essentials, produced with West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, aims to give the confidence needed to react in an incident when someone urgently needs help. The three concise learning modules cover providing basic life support, handling life-threatening incidents, and dealing with day-to-day incidents.

  2. EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY: Equality & Diversity is a concise programme that explains the fundamentals of equality and diversity and how they affect you. This includes looking at the Equality Act 2010 and the ‘protected characteristics’ that form the basis of the law, as well some of the barriers that can prevent equality being realised, such as prejudice, stereotyping, discrimination, victimisation and harassment. This programme can help introduce new recruits to the subject or act as a refresher for current employees.

  3. BASIC FOOD HYGIENE: accredited by RoSPA, is specifically designed for food handlers, particularly those using and storing raw ingredients and high-risk foods. The four concise learning modules cover the fundamentals of food-borne illness, prevention of food poisoning, effective hygiene, HACCP, and the law and regulations. The programme also includes a proficiency test to reinforce your knowledge.

  4. AN INTRODUCTION TO DATA PROTECTION: is a concise programme that explains the fundamentals of Data Protection Act 1998, including its overarching principles and what organisations must do to comply with them. This programme can help introduce new recruits to the subject or act as a refresher for current employees.

  5. PERSONAL SAFETY:  accredited with the Association of Chief Police Officers’ ‘Secured by Design’ seal of approval, covers the fundamentals of risk identification and shows you how to reduce personal risk by using risk assessment. The five concise learning modules cover risk assessment and planning, strategies for diffusing difficult situations, practical tips to minimise risk and working in other people’s homes.

  6. GENERAL HEALTH & SAFETY: accredited by RoSPA, will give both the employer and the employee, in any field of work, a comprehensive, basic knowledge of health and safety in the workplace. The six concise learning modules cover common health and safety hazards, safety management systems and policies, what to do in case of an accident, and protecting your environment. The programme also includes a proficiency test to reinforce your knowledge.

  7. INTRODUCTION TO RISK ASSESSMENT:  is a concise programme that explains the techniques for assessing risk and as an example, applies them to protecting your organisation from criminal activity and health and safety incidents. This programme offers a cost-effective introduction for all members of your organisation.

  8. SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT: provides an introduction to staff supervision for new and current supervisors. The five concise learning modules covers the importance of motivation and delegation, the foundation of good communication skills, how to build and maintain a team, and managing time and quality. The programme also includes a proficiency test to reinforce your knowledge.

  9. INTRODUCTION TO EFFECTIVE TEAM WORK:  is a concise programme that explores the different types of team and the stages of team development, as well as the roles individuals may take within a team. This programme can help introduce new recruits to the subject or act as a refresher for current employees.

  10. AN INTRODUCTION TO LEADERSHIP: is a concise programme that discusses the various types of leadership, whether leaders are born or made and practices common to leaders. This programme offers a cost-effective introduction for all members of your organisation.

  11. PREVENTING BULLYING: The purpose of this programme, endorsed by experts at Bullying UK and Family Lives, is to help you understand, recognise and prevent bullying behaviour. Looking at evidence from research, we will cover who may be affected, the effects of bullying and how to prevent bullying in organisations, as well as what you can do as an individual to play your part.

  12. SAFER RECRUITMENT: When a vacancy arises in your organisation, you naturally want to ensure you employ the very best person for the post and this programme will certainly help you to achieve this. However, the primary purpose of the programme is to ensure that whilst making recruitment decisions, the children, young people and any adults at risk in your setting are safeguarded from harm.
